| Abstract: |
The ADAM environment is used by Starlink for data analysis and by UK-involved observatories in Australia, Hawaii and the Canary Islands for instrumentation. The Royal Observatory Edinburgh has produced a Transputer version of the ADAM kernel to allow instruments which make use of Transputers via an Ethernet-TCP/IP connection for data acquisition/control to integrate more closely with the ADAM systems running at the telescopes. |
