| Abstract: |
We have identified and studied the BL Lacs in a subsample of X-ray sources detected during the ROSAT All-Sky Survey. We exploited their intrinsic broad-band and variability properties to reliably identify them. We found that several of our objects fall in a region that was previously thought to be empty in the alpha _ox - alpha_ro diagram that can be interpreted as a transition between the two classes of (RBLs and XBLs). We also found correlations between the spectral indices alpha_ox and alpha_ro and the amplitude of the variations. |
