Abstract: Colorado State University fielded three expedition groups to different locations along the path of totality of the 21 August 2017 total solar eclipse. The primary goals of the groups were to provide educational outreach and to explore new tools for future eclipse-related STEM outreach efforts. Each of the groups was rewarded with good weather and satisfying results. We discuss each expedition, some of the issues involved in preparing for the trips, and a summary of lessons learned for future eclipse opportunities.
