Abstract: The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) in New Mexico has piloted a one-week residential camp on the campus of New Mexico Tech for rising 9th grade students called the Radio Astronomy and Physics (RAP) camp. This camp provides an opportunity for students to participate in an immersive science research experience. Students also participate in engaging lessons and hands-on activities designed to enhance their knowledge and enthusiasm for physics and radio astronomy. We will report on the development of radio astronomy lessons, best practices, and evaluation report of our 2018 camp.
