		| Abstract: |
The specification of observed mass as well as luminosity and color index fixes the components of an eclipsing binary in evolutionary time as well as distance, and provides a fine test for theories of the evolution of a cluster in which it can be shown to be located. Light and velocity curve modeling is the enabling tool which contributes the stellar radii and luminosities, and it permits a check on the state of evolution of each component. In certain cases, as in the hotter and more massive component of DS And in NGC 752, the properties of a star of known mass constrains the age and to some extent (Fe/H) of the cluster. We will discuss our work on this and other systems in the program. |
