		| Abstract: |
Two basic facts about galaxies, the high density of the bulges and the thinness of the disks, are analyzed dynamically with the following conclusions: (1) the mass added in stellar lumps after the formation of the major part of the disks is less than 3 percent of the Galactic mass, and (2) spiral bulges are not made from mergers of bulgeless spirals, i.e., not made out of disk material. |
