| Abstract: |
This paper discusses clusters of galaxies with emphasis placed on coupling the X-ray and optical observations. The mass distribution in a cluster based on the X-ray observations is discussed. Cluster dynamics and a comparison between masses and mass distributions determined optically and via X-ray observation are presented. The origin of the intracluster cluster medium and its relationship to observed elemental abundances and cooling flows is examined and a scenario of cluster formation and evolution is presented. |
