		| Abstract: |
Primordial stars can be understood as either the very first stars in the Universe, originating from truely primordial, zero-metallicity matter, or as those stars in a (our) galaxy still present with the lowest amounts of metals. I first review aspects of the formation and evolution of the zero-metal stars and then turn to the ultra metal-poor stars in the Galaxy. Many of them have unusual abundances of light, s-process and/or r-process elements. Understanding their origin, in connection with the nucleosynthesis in both the zero-metal and the ultra metal-poor stars, allows to unveil the properties of the very first population of stars and the earliest phase of the galacto-chemical evolution. |
