		| Abstract: |
Astronomy education research continues to provide insights into how to improve our teaching and learning. We describe an investigation of how students relate science to external social frameworks through a study of undergraduate students enrolled in introductory astronomy courses who completed a five-question survey about how they perceive the relationship of science and society, quality of life, daily life, government, and religion. Preliminary results of this analysis show that a majority of students hold pro-science beliefs for each of these five frameworks. |
