		| Abstract: |
This video poster will detail the development of a public astronomical sky park about 25 miles north of Lincoln, NE. This non-profit organization was founded five years ago. The property in that time has been transformed from an overgrown field to an expansive facility. This includes a roll-off observatory building with four piers for telescopes, a dome observatory, a visitor center, a radio telescope and communications building, a classroom, and several concrete pads for setting up telescopes. The facility is available for amateur astronomers, astrophotographers, astronomy professors and their students, and general public star parties are scheduled about once a month free-of-charge for members of the community. |
