We perform an observational test on the predicted dependence of V/R cycle times of Be stars on metallicity. Our observed Hα line profiles variations of Be stars in the metal-deficient environment of the SMC and the comparison to their galactic counterparts indicate that V/R cycle times are not dependent on metallicity. |
