| Abstract: |
We have implemented from scratch a new code, referred to as STAR (STA-Revised), based on the Super-Transition-Array (STA) formalism. The model is based on the theory of Bar-Shalom et al. (1989) with various improvements, and is used to calculate and analyze solar opacities. We performed a comparison with other atomic codes and good agreement was obtained. |
