		| Abstract: |
The observations of molecular lines are key to our understanding of the feeding–feedback relations between the Star Formation and the Interstellar Medium. We obtained ALMA Cycle 0 sensitive observations of the CO(3–2) and HCO+(4–3) line and 0.9-mm continuum emission in the Luminous Infra-Red Galaxy NGC 1614 at 0.5” resolution. NGC 1614 (D = 64 Mpc, 1”=310 pc) is powered by an extreme starburst ring that is fed by a massive molecular gas reservoir. ALMA reveals an unusual star-formation regime that challenges the most popular models. In addition, we spatially resolve a broad CO(3–2) component that spans up to 750 km s-1 in velocity. This component likely traces a starburst-driven gas outflow. |
