		| Abstract: |
We show that stars near the anticenter in the Galactic disk have bulk motions in both the vertical and radial directions that are unexpected for stars with
disk-like kinematics. The asymmetries are present in independent data sets from the LAMOST and SDSS surveys that probe the same volume of the
Galaxy. This substructure in the nearby disk is likely due to a perturbation by a passing dwarf galaxy or dark matter subhalo. |
