| Abstract: |
Details of using driven waves as a diagnostics tool in the solar atmosphere are discussed.
Our mechanism goes beyond the standard tools of coronal seismology and offers
the advantage that it can establish a quantitative link between observable compressions
and the Alfvén waves which are believed to dominate the coronal and solar wind energetics
but which are difficult to observe directly. |
