		| Abstract: |
CaH is one of the most important stellar atmospheric molecules, since
 C. M. Olmsted first detected it in the spectra of Sun spots in
1908. Over the past century, CaH bands have been identified on almost
every stellar objects, including giants, subdwarfs, dwarfs and brown
dwarfs. These unique absorption features have been widely used to
separate dwarfs from subdwarfs in the past decade. I review a few
milestones of studying CaH bands, what we learn from them, and
finally, how we can interpret modern spectroscopic data. |
