| Abstract: |
We describe the recent advances in the development of the CSPAR Multi-Scale Fluid-Kinetic Simulation
Suite (MS-FLUKSS), such as, modules to solve the pickup ion transport equations and model the evolution of
the solar wind turbulence. The application of MS-FLUKSS to modeling the solar wind interaction with the
local interstellar medium is discussed. In particular, we analyze the effects of the interstellar
magnetic field on the IBEX ribbon and the consequences of solar cycle phenomena. |
