The VO provides a lot of tools giving a nice access to remote computer resources but publishing local data in the VO is not really comfortable yet. Local data can be uploaded to remote VO nodes but inserting a local database into the VO world remains out of reach for a large number of astronomers. The Saada project proposes an easy way to overcome this obstacle. Saada is able to transform a set of heterogeneous FITS files in a full featured database (a SaadaDB). SaadaDBs come with a classical data access layer (Web interface and API) but also with server modules processing VO queries. The publication of a SaadaDB in a VO registry is largely helped by register templates compliant with the stored data and generated on demand. The demonstration will include the creation of a database followed by its publishing into the VO. The VO resource so created will then be used with standard tools. |
