		| Abstract: |
The formation of axisymmetric and non-spherical planetary nebulae is usually explained by invoking the influence during earlier phases of evolution of binarity and/or magnetic fields, but obervational verification is far from conclusive in either case. Studying magnetic fields in post-Asymptotic Giant Branch (pAGB) stars, the precursors to planetary nebulae, can potentially elucidate this issue. Here we present the first results of a study of the magnetic field in the pAGB star IRAS 19067+0811, using Multi-Element Radio-Linked Interferometer Network (MERLIN) observations of its magnetically Zeeman-split OH masers. |
