| Abstract: |
The preliminary analysis of the optical data of SN 1999cw shows that this object has the photometric and spectroscopic behavior of a Type Ia supernova similar to SN 1991T, reaching an apparent magnitude at maximum Bmax = 14.30 and a post-maximum decline rate Δm15(B) = 0.94. |
