		| Abstract: |
We live in an exciting era that offers increasing opportunities for people all over the world to make discoveries about the Universe using interconnected archives on the Internet as a primary research tool. I will review how NED (http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu) can be used in conjunction with globally distributed online archives to perform multiwavelength, cross-correlated studies of AGN and other galaxy types. The present status and expected evolution of these capabilities will be discussed, along with results from a statistical investigation of AGN and starburst galaxies using fused parameters from 2MASS, IRAS, NVSS, and other surveys. |
