| Abstract: |
We have made N-body simulations of ring formation in disk galaxies. The rings are related to resonances, which are induced by rotating stellar bars and/or spiral arms. Presence of several modes with different pattern speeds does not inhibit the formation of a ring, but can cause cyclic evolution in its shape and orientation. |
