| Abstract: |
The HIPPARCOS data provide new possibilities for making good use of the following methods: a method of extrapolation to zero Heliocentric distances for determining the local values of stellar kinematic parameters, a method of extrapolating to stars moving along a rectilinear orbits to find the Solar Galactocentric velocity and a method of extrapolating to stars moving along circular orbits to find the local circular velocity. Algorithms for finding these parameters are discussed. |
