| Abstract: |
We present a detailed study of the scale height and the size and frequency of vertical asymmetries in the disks of 47 interacting/merging galaxies. Their parameters are compared with those derived from a control sample of 61 non-interacting galaxies. A detailed description of this R-band sample and the applied algorithm for disk modelling can be found in Schwarzkopf & Dettmar (2000a,b). |
