| Abstract: |
The analysis of the deep VLT images in the two fields in the halo of NGC 5128 shows remarkable difference between the populations. In the north-eastern part of the halo evidences of a significant recent star formation are observed. It is associated with the gas probably left over from the last merger episode with a small gas-rich galaxy. |
