| Abstract: |
This poster will present the first results of our project to map the continuum and line emission in the nearby spirals M 51 and M 83. The large-scale Scuba observations of M 51 at 850 microns clearly show the nuclear region, the spiral arms, and the companion (see figure). A comparison with other tracers of the spiral structure is currently underway and we hope to be able to present preliminary results on the poster. |
