The line-of-sight to the H i-rich dwarf galaxy NGC 1705 intercepts the high velocity cloud HVC 487. The (Si/H) ratio (> 0.6(Si/H){_odot}) and low dust depletion derived for HVC 487 from archival GHRS data are consistent with an association with Magellanic Stream gas. |
