The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) will carry out a digital photometric and spectroscopic survey over ~10,000 deg^2 in the northern Galactic cap. While the key science projects of SDSS are extragalactic, there will be ample opportunity for Galactic science, especially in the halo. A brief overview of the Survey and its status are presented along with a discussion of SDSS science projects in the Galactic Halo. |
