Abstract:	Two new surveys for physical companions orbiting elliptical and lenticular galaxies are introduced. The first is an electronic survey for radial velocity confirmed companions to the so-called “isolated elliptical” sample of Bothun & Sullivan (1977) undertaken using the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED), and the second is a complete survey of all S0 galaxies in the Revised Shapley-Ames Catalog (Sandage & Tammann 1981), combining both visual inspection/classification of apparent companions followed up with radial velocity searches again using NED.
