Abstract: The results of the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer (EUVE) spectroscopic data server and a prototype client implemented at the Center for EUV Astrophysics (CEA) in the Image Reduction and Analysis Facility (IRAF) are presented. Current work on extending the data server to work with interactive client programs will also be presented. The client/server approach will enable scientist to selectively retrieve their own proprietary data, in addition to public data, across the Internet. Data selection will prove extremely useful for EUVE spectroscopic data given the large volumes of data accompanying an observation. Preliminary results of investigations into implementing clients in standard astronomical software including the Astrophysical Data System (ADS) and the IRAF as well as new innovative approaches are discussed. This research has been supported by NASA contract NAS5-30180.
