Abstract: The universality of various properties of extragalactic globular cluster systems is examined. A remarkable uniformity in the abundance characteristic among this diverse stellar population is shown. The mean metallicity of a cluster system, however, depends in roughly linear fashion on the luminosity of the parent galaxy. Abundance anomalies of certain elements which vary from system to system may be of primordial origin. The M31 cluster system is remarkably similar to the Milky Way system, which may suggest that galaxies of similar morphological type have similar dynamical structure and metallicity distribution in their cluster systems.
