Abstract: Progress is reported in constructing a new color-magnitude diagram of the southern globular cluster NGC 2808 based on B and V photometry. The diagram implies that the apparent peculiarity of its horizontal-branch morphology, which has strong populations of both red HB stars and extremely blue HB stars but virtually none in the range (B-V)0 between 0.0 and 0.4, is due at least in part to small number statistics.
