Abstract: A preliminary study of an SHB grid is presented. The investigation follows Caputo et al. (1987) and, in addition, introduces the new grid of HB evolutionary tracks devised by Sweigart (1987). The general constraints for theoretical HB stars and RR Lyrae pulsators are examined, with emphasis on the HB morphology, luminosity, and variable mean period.
