Abstract: The dynamics and post-collapse evolution of rich clusters of galaxies are reviewed, focusing on the Coma cluster. Consideration is given to the distribution of dark matter in clusters, galaxy collision, and orbital decay. It is suggested that cD galaxies are the end products of repeated mergers that occurred before or during cluster formation. Results from N-body simulations of cluster formation are presented, suggesting that this is a viable hypothesis.
