Abstract: Spectroscopic monitoring of a large number of presumably single WR stars is revealing a significant number that display large-scale line-profile variability (LSLPV). In those cases where periods are found but no evidence of a binary companion, we believe that we are seeing evidence of rotation of the underlying star. The monitoring of this LSLVP may be a unique opportunity to measure the rotation rate of Wolf-Rayet stars which is still, until now, generally unknown.
