Abstract: Do not let COVID-19 quarantine stop you from enjoying field trips with students. This paper will help you develop and expand the idea of field trips in this age of COVID-19 remote teaching and learning. Gain ideas of how to bring students to locations in real-time that would otherwise be out of reach. Live virtual tours of research facilities allow students a close-up look at real-life science application and the opportunity to interact with the people who conduct it. We can bring our students to local labs or facilities across the globe. Most recently my students were engaged by a researcher who remotely presented his lab where he studies solids on the quantum scale. I will share from personal experiences of coordinating such field trips for my students.
