Abstract: Light Pollution is a massive, significant, and modern problem that degrades the quality of the environment. Less than 100 years ago, everyone could look up and see a spectacular starry night sky. Nowadays, millions of children across the globe will never experience the Milky Way where they live. The increased and widespread use of artificial light at night is not only impairing our view of the universe, it is adversely affecting our environment, our safety, our energy consumption, and our health. The presentation addresses the main effects of Light pollution on human life and the environment in which he lives as well as why it is important nay crucial to learn about that specific topic. It aims to raise awareness about that issue, because, unfortunately, a lot of people don't understand the weight of this phenomenon that disrupts the natural day-night pattern and shifts the delicate balance of our environment; by providing useful resources and instructional material to mobilize the international community. The presentation suggests that protecting dark skies is the result of awareness and that expressing a high concern about Light Pollution should certainly be a natural reflex; therefore making everybody involved by spreading the word absolutely helps make a difference in our community and mitigate the negative impact of excessive artificial light on stars observing experience so that everybody would enjoy the ultimate beauty of the night sky.
