The Gaia data processing relies on six Data Processing Centres (DPC) distributed all around Europe. Each one has its own peculiarities but they all face the same challenge: being able to handle dozens of billions of rows in database tables. This paper will focus on the French DPC (DPCC) architecture based on Hadoop. |
