Abstract: We describe a hierarchical Bayesian model to measure the physical parameters (mass, cooling age, distance, interstellar extinction) of single white dwarfs using only multi-band UV to IR photometry. We test our model on a set of known white dwarfs with well-assessed atmospheric parameters, determined via optical spectroscopy. Looking forward to the results of the ESA Gaia mission, we derive the posterior distributions of white dwarf parameters in two different scenarios with known or unknown parallaxes.
