Abstract: We analysed a uniform sample of Galactic bulge planetary nebulae from which we derived the masses of their central stars. The difference between distributions of these masses and the known white dwarf masses suggests that the post-AGB evolution proceeds 2–4 times faster than previously assumed. Likely the highest acceleration concerns the lowest-mass objects. Comparing our data to the known bulge age suggests that the Initial-Final Mass Relation is steeper than the semi-empirical one.
