Abstract: We announce the discovery of the sixth-known pulsating extremely low-mass (ELM; ∼0.25 M) white dwarf star (WD). SDSS J1618+3854 exhibits nonlinear pulse shapes that enable us to asteroseimically investigate the convective properties of ELM WDs for the first time. We present the light curve, its Fourier transform, and our very preliminary findings regarding convection.
