| Abstract: |
V471 Tau was discovered as a spectroscopic binary and is a prototype post-common envelope system and cataclysmic binary progenitor. We have monitored the system photoelectrically in U, B, V and R colours since 1994. The new times of minima have been derived. They suggest that the cause of the (O-C) curve may be more complicated than the curve corresponding to the light-time effect only. Timing variations can be explained by perturbations of third body in the system or by apsidal motion. |
