Abstract: I this paper we present preliminary results of a snapshot survey done with the Australia Compact Array (ATCA) of the nearby seyfert galaxies NGC1566, NGC1672, NGC3109, NGC4945, NGC5068, NGC6221, NGC6684, NGC6744, IC5201, NGC7314 and NGC7424 and the VLA. We present radio continuum and HI observations and discuss some preliminary results regarding the star formation and the HI contents of the circunuclear region. Correlated HI line fluxes for VLBA and ALBA observations and HI absorption column densities are derived to help planning VLBI observations for studies of the neutral gas towards the central engine. We also selected a subsample suitable for VLBI HI absorption studies and we discuss their observational properties.
