Abstract: We report on time-series photometric observations of the superoutburst of the peculiar dwarf nova, WZ Sge, which started on 2001 July after the 23 years quiescence. We detected the growth of ``early superhump'' during the rising stage, and this double-peaked modulation with the orbital period lasted until genuine superhumps appeared. After the main outburst, repetitive rebrightenings started as in the 1978 outburst of WZ Sge or the 1997 outburst of EG Cnc. Our observations reject the mass transfer instability for the trigger of the superoutburst of WZ Sge.
