Abstract: The evolution of spirals is coherently modeled by the code PéGASE with pure luminosity scenarios including star, gas, dust and metal effects. Results are compared to observational counts and redshift distributions, in the aim of researching evidences of galaxy evolution number, representative of a hierarchical merging. Estimates of star formation rates are outputs of models and show that the global star formation rate smoothly evolves from z=0 to z>4 as (1+z)1.2. That does not confirm any anomalous excess predicted from other authors. More constraints will be derived from photoionization by massive stars, another tracer of star formation estimated with the help of the coupled code PÉGASE+CLOUDY following stellar and nebular evolution (Moy, Rocca-Volmerange & Fioc 2001).
