Abstract: We obtained high state X-ray observations of BL Hyi using the PCA detectors of the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer on 24-28 Sep and 17 Oct 1997. The light curves were consistent with two active accretion poles with the brighter pole yielding 10 counts s^{-1} and the weaker pole 3 counts s^{-1}. The bright pole spectrum was well-fit by an absorbed bremsstrahlung (temperature kT 11 keV) with a Gaussian emission line at E 6.8 keV with equivalent width EW 858 eV, and absorption column NH 1.3 times 1022 cm^{-2}. An upper limit of 20-25% was placed on 0.2-0.8 Hz X-ray QPOs. Nearly simultaneous optical observations found 0.2-0.8 Hz QPOs of amplitude 2.7% plus or minus 0.2% (Wolff et al. 1999).
