Abstract: We report new Zeeman-Doppler imaging observations of the rapidly rotating young K0 dwarf AB Doradus, obtained with the Anglo-Australian Telescope in 1996 December. We show simultaneous brightness and magnetic images of the stellar photosphere, reconstructed at three different epochs over the course of a seven-night observing run. Latitude-by-latitude cross-correlation of the resulting images confirms the form and amplitude of the surface differential pattern found in the previous year's observations by Donati & Cameron (1997), with the pole rotating slower than the equator by about one part in 220. We also present dynamic spectra showing the distribution of H alpha-absorbing clouds in the stellar corona at the same epoch.
