Abstract: The Goddard High Resolution Spectrograph (GHRS) on the Hubble Space Telescope has been used to obtain spectra of alpha Tau covering many parts of the uv spectrum between 1200AA and 2000AA. Here we concentrate on the region between 1320AA and 1390AA, which is covered by 2 medium resolution exposures. Most of the lines appearing in these spectra have been identified, including 2 bands of fluorescent CO lines. Preliminary modelling of these CO lines has been carried out, and the results are compared with the observations.
