Paper: Isotopic Abundances in Stars as Inferred from the Study of Presolar Grains in Meteorites

Abstract: Presolar grains in primitive meteorites formed in stellar atmospheres. Their isotopic compositions reflect those of their sources and thus provide new constraints on nucleosynthesis and stellar evolution. Diamond, silicon carbide, graphite, aluminum oxide and silicon nitride have been identified to date. Stellar sources include oxygen- and carbon-rich red giant stars as well as supernovae.
