Abstract: The spatial structure of the stellar stream in M31 is derived by analyzing photometry obtained in this region by the CFHT12K mosaic camera. We find that it is a giant structure over 100 kpc in extent, and that it is inclined at some 60° to our line of sight. The stream will thus be ideal as a tracer of the potential of M31 over a large galactocentric distance. We also find that it presents a sharp edge in star counts on its northern edge, which suggests that it has remained a fairly coherent structure.
